WHERE IS STOCKING ISLAND? By air, it is only about 35 minutes from Nassau or 1½ hrs. from Miami. Stocking Island, while feeling remote, is not isolated. It is just one mile, across Elizabeth Harbor, from George Town, Great Exuma.

WHAT MAKES HOTEL
HIGGINS LANDING SPECIAL? Hotel Higgins Landing is
located on Stocking Island, considered a "national treasure"
of the Bahamas. The resort is further unique in its sea to lagoon location. On
one side of the resort, guests can enjoy the shimmering sands of our Silver Palms Beach,
with nearby reefs and snorkeling. On the other side, Turtle Lagoon, guests can bonefish or
kayak, exploring adjacent lagoons, Mystery Cave or the famous Blue Hole (once a dive site
for Jacques Cousteau.)

Each of the resort's five cottages is uniquely furnished with interesting antiques, a
queen sized bed, well equipped kitchen, tiled bath,and ceiling fan to catch the cooling ocean
breezes. Each has a private deck with dazzling views, ensuring peace, quiet,
and privacy during your stay.

HOW ABOUT FOOD? We believe good food is one of the "pleasures of life" and Hotel Higgins Landing enjoys the reputation of serving some of the best food in the Bahamas.. Our guests now have the freedom to prepare their own breakfasts and lunches in our cottages with their new kitchenettes. Dinner is included in all rates. It begins each evening at the beach bar, with hors' doeuvres, and continues in our candlelit dining room, the perfect ending to your perfect vacation day.
